Lana Gogoberidze

Lana Gogoberidze is an outstanding Georgian film director, diplomat, artist, translator and essayist. Her films have received numerous international awards, among them in Venice, Berlin, Tokyo, San Remo and others. She is the Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi.

Her translations include poetry by Walt Whitman, Rabindranath Tagore, Paul Verlaine, Anna Akhmatova, Boris Pasternak and Paul Éluard. Her autobiographical book What I remember and the Way I Remember It was re-published in 2019.
