Sophie Shamanidi

Sophie Shamanidi is a professor at Tbilisi State University. Her academic work is related to the interpretation of Ancient Greek Literature in Modern literature. Her books showcase her deep engagement with both Ancient and Modern Greek literature.  She explores how Ancient Greek traditions have influenced and shaped Modern Greek literature movements, delving into themes of continuity, transformation, and identity within the context of Greek history and culture. Previously she served as an adviser to the Forth President of Georgia on minority issues, that highlights her significant contribution to fostering inclusivity and advocating marginalized communities.
