Tinatin Nogaideli

Author, singer, and podcaster. She has written many blog posts on feminism—singer-songwriter of a Georgian feminist hymn Dao (Georgian word for sister). The subjects of Tinatin’s creative work are usually women and people belonging to non-normative gender. For her characters, as well as in her songs, celebration of one’s body is the weapon of choice. Minorities unapologetically take control over their lives and reject the roles of victims and tragic characters in her stories. The main literary motive in Nogaideli’s work is the search for and ownership of happiness. This way, she is redefining narratives and lexis in contemporary Georgian literature.
